BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Pursuit Advisory Group is collaborative, entrepreneurial and on the move! PAG is seeking experienced, confident and motivated Business Development Executives to identify and serve new consulting clients to expand our practice. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in business development of management consulting services and is well-connected within our targeted companies of $75 – 500 million in annual revenues.  Preferably based in southern California, the position will pursue leads nationally and internationally that fit within PAG’s mission and capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Use existing network to initiate, qualify and develop new business opportunities with target organizations across all industries and all service lines.

  • Organize and execute a multi-faceted sales plan, to effectively make direct contact with prospects through cold-calling, phone, email and mail campaigns.

  • Build collaborative relationships with key decision-makers within the prospective target organizations.

  • Identify winning strategies by understanding the prospect’s needs, challenging the status quo and creating opportunities for PAG to partner.

  • Facilitate meetings with various levels of client stakeholders ranging from strategic to tactical.

  • Create relevant sales presentations and recommendations of PAG products and services and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects.

  • Participate in trade organizations and informal networks to develop, build and sustain a robust set of professional relationships to promote PAG.

  • Negotiate and participate in pricing strategy to make PAG competitive in specific pipeline opportunities.

  • Regularly and consistently use CRM system to ensure that data reporting, customer information and sales activity & pipeline are up-to-date.

  • Negotiate and produce services contracts within authorized parameters.

  • Travel, as needed.

 

Other Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years of business development / sales experience in professional services; Big Four, advisory and/or regional accounting/consulting experience is a plus.

  • Proven record of success in building new relationships and closing new sales with executive-level business buyers.
